Reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles have locked up DT Timmy Jernigan to a 4 year $48 million extension that includes $26 million fully guaranteed.
Jernigan has been one of the bright additions the Eagles brought in in the offseason. The 25 year old defensive tackle has recorded 11 tackles with six assists along with 1.5 sacks to help lead the way with teammate Fletcher Cost for the Eagles to have the 1st ranked rushing defense in the NFL(Allowing 66.4 yards a game). With Jernigan and Cox locked up, the Eagles defensive line looks very promising for years to come
